Heading for Oz -- Ministry of Education?

Hi,

Does anyone actually know where the Ministry of Education main building is in Taipei? May need to go there Monday or Tuesday to see the “man behind the curtain” (Wizard of Oz reference).

Any tips about getting there or navigating once there would be appreciated.

Answering one’s own questions is a bit like playing pocket pool, I’d imagine. In any case, I found the info and have posted it below in case anyone else needs it in the future.

It is generally SOUTH of Taipei Main Station (MRT) on Zhongshan Rd, covering all or most of the block between Jinan and Hsuchow Roads. TMS MRT Exit 8 and a few blocks of walking and you’re there.

They have great directories on the walls to assist in locating departments within MOE, but they look like they are unaccustomed to visitors.
