Headphones adapter

I have a Senheiser headphone set for my iPhone, with microphone, and I was planning to use it with my desktop computer to do skype calls, but I need an adapter for the soundcard connectors (a two-in-one, so to speak). If I was in Europe, I’d go to a FNAC or some place similar, but I’m a little lost in Taipei. I tried going to a Studio A, but had no luck.

Any Suggestions?

There’s a chain store called “3C” that might have what you’re looking for. Its usually a big yellow place with lots of electronics and appliances. There are also a lot of Radio Shack style shops in the Zhongxiao Xinsheng area. Basically around where Bade and Xinsheng intersect there are a lot of shops for DIY computer supplies.

Thank you, I’ll check around that place tomorrow.

This morning, I checked 2 different 3C shops, one electronics shop, and another Studio A shop. With no success. I’m actually considering to ask my family that they send me one adapter from Spain…

Blaquesmith, what’s the exact adapter you need? Can you find a picture online?

The Guanghua Market area mentioned above at Bade Rd. and Xinsheng Rd. has stores that sell almost every kind of cable imaginable. If you take a printout of the type of adapter you’re looking for (if it’s not obvious from looking at your headphones), I’m sure you’ll find it.

I don’t recall ever hearing about the type of adapter you’re interested in. Out of curiosity, do you have a link for such an adapter? Like I said, printing out a picture of it is a good idea to show the shop owners there.

I suppose if your adapter is extremely rare you may not be able to find it, but if it’s for an iPhone, it can’t be that rare.

I think it would be something like this:

OK, Blaquesmith. Head over to the area suggested by scomargo.

To do so, take the MRT to Zhongxiao-Xinsheng, then walk to the corner of Bade Rd and Xinsheng South Road. Enter the doorway shown here:
maps.google.com/maps?q=taipei+g … 41,1,3.05

Go down one level and have a look at the shops down there. I’d be really surprised if none of them have one. As advised above, take a print-out of the cable you want so you can show them.

There’s also another level below that might be worth checking, although there’s not as much down there.

If you can’t find anything in that underground place, then head to the Guanghua Digital Plaza (maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=21 … 4,0.004823). You’re most likely to find components/cables, etc., on the 4th or 5th floor, although you might get lucky on floors 2 or 3.

Good luck!

Thank you very much. I’ll check on those places after lunch. I’m not used yet to hidden stores… I’m more used to the “in-your-face” kind, with clear and understandable signs on the street… that you can see from the wide sidewalks. Sidewalks? oh, wait…

Found it! Thank you all
