Where can I go for this kind of testing? Will it be available at the hospital, or do I need to see a specialist of some kind?
Don’t know if this is too late for you, but we did this testing at Adventist Hospital last year. Heavy metals for us and our children, and allergies for me and one child. We just saw a general practitioner and he ordered the tests we wanted. The metal tests were done by hair sample, just fyi–at the time they did not offer heavy metal testing by blood. Allergy testing was by blood. The allergy tests took about 1 week; the heavy metal tests took quite a bit longer as the samples had to be sent to a lab in the US, I believe. Maybe 2-3 weeks?
