If you want to take the dog swimming, then do it at the north coast as the water is cleaner.
Even better, I know of a few nice spots up in the mountains, where you can camp, hike and swim the dog as much as it likes.

yeah probably different thread… but I met my now husband here (not a local but still…) and 4 months after starting to date he left. And 1 month later, I followed. It’s been over 8 years now! 
And Maoman, your dog is the sweetest looking thing I’ve seen in ages! My parents have a chocolate lab and I just love them!
