I’m doing this school show and need music that represents each country and is also upbeat. I’ve got 12 countries to cover and have got most of it sorted out. I just can’t find something for Canada. I thought of “Four Strong Winds” or the national anthem, but they’re both a bit too melodramatic. I was hoping you hordes of lovely Canookislovakianstanis could give me some pointers. Preferably something “traditional”. I only need a minute or so.
Look, I anticipate snark, and will roll with the punches, but could someone PLEASE offer me something other than The Tragically Hip, Trailer Park Boys and Rush?

(I believe it’s partly because of you that I’m now reading Gaiman’s “Sandman” and Amis’s “Money”, and I repay you with Stompin’ Tom… I’m accumulating masses of bad karma for this. But the man does suit your needs, with upbeat, short, and oh so Canadian.)
