ok I left 2 CD slips in TW when I went to US last year…but I took seal with me. This time I came back the slips are gone and money were transfered to another account…it didn’t have note for which account that money transfered but I know it might be my brother that done it. So went to bank yesterday and dig out the details on the transaction…and it was the wrong seal…my brother probably went to get a siimilar seal and cash out the money…so the bank said ya seems like the seal wasn’t right, someone did took out my CD and they didn’t check the seal carefully…funny thing is on the CD there were 5 different seals…but here is the twist…before I opened the CD with Kaohsiung Business Bank, but they went bankrupt and Esun bought them…and today and Esun bank the teller told me they will be responsible for it…but they want to let judge to decide so I guess they want me to sue them instead of just giving back my money right now (they know it’s the wrong seal that took out the money) so my question is I guess I will go ahead and get a lawyer and sue them? how much would a lawyer cost me for something like this and will it take a lot of my time…also if the money was transfered to my brother’s account will the bank go back to that account and take it out or they will just reimburst me with their own money? thanks in advance…and I guess I can ask for some compensation like driving around in tw and finding my old bank and new bank…roads here really scare me…
also foreigner in TW can own land, houses and sell, buy them right? just have to pay higher tax?
