Help with finding letters of recommendations

Hi,

I’m hoping that some of you could give me some ideas about getting letters of recommendations for when I apply to grad school. I haven’t been in contact with my teachers from my college for over 10 years so, that’s out. And I’ve been working over here for about 2 years. I know I could ask my school but I also need a letter from someone who ‘at least one recommendation should be written by a person who understands my artistic work.’

Can any of you give me ideas as to what/who could be considered for this? I’m a little stalled, as I’m thinking still along the lines of high school (your teachers, consolers, etc). Grad school is a bit different.

Thanks a bunch!!! :rainbow:

Your “artistic work”…? Are we talking commercial art or um, more artsy-fartsy type stuff? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, are you in touch with any aspect of the “art world” here? For example curators, well-known artists, art scholars…? Or do you have a personal teacher? If commercial art, then a letter from a boss or client, perhaps…?
