Herpes and dating in Taiwan

Interesting approach to getting laid. You should try the ‘Language and Bodily Fluids Exchange’ forum, or tealit, or both.

I give him credit; he’s being honest and upfront about it.

I’m not touching this one.

LeeTeacher,

You honesty is refreshing but I am wondering if you can be deported, like Chocolate was, for having a STD? If yes, you may want to be careful who you let know that you have herpes.

Herpes isn’t on the list. (I read the law when the Chocolate thing came up…couldn’t believe that syphilis was still “on the list” in this day and age…)

Anyway, with estimates showing that 20% of the US population has HSV1 or 2 (and the two hvae crossed over so much that now you can’t say HSV1 is ONLY oral or HSV2 ONLY genital) I don’t think they would be able to staff their buxibans if they deported everyone with HSV…and that’s not even considering the rate of infection in Taiwan, which I’m willing to bet would be even higher, given the appalling lack of knowledge about STDs and contraception and related matters.

I’ll let your evident ignorance speak for itself. :unamused:

Hmmm…reminds me of those Herpes medicine commercials on TV back home. The one that starts out with this chick doing like mountain climbing or some such thing, and shows her as strong, independent, etc. The out of nowhere it says she has herpes. “There is no cure for herpes…but treatment is available…blah blah blah.” Heh. I just think it’s funny how they present those commercials. Meh. ::shrugs::

They could have made the commerical like this:

“Watch out for Herpes–the Love Bug!”
HONK HONK!
