Hershey's Cocoa Powder for Hot Chocolate

Looking specificaly for Hershey’s Cocoa Powder for hot chocolate. Not the packet types. Im talking about the container with the chocolate powder that you mix with * MILK * ,not water, to make hot chocolate.

We just ran out, and I can’t figure out where we bought it from. I have checked Wellcome, various grocery stores, Carrefore, and Watsons. None of those places have it.

I don’t want to make a trip to Costco. Does Jason’s or any of teh grocery stores at Mitzokoshi have it?

If at all possible, it would be ideal to find Ghirradeli, but I realize that is a pipe dream.

Never mind…Found It!

The market at the bottom of Breeze Center has it for 109 NT

Jason’s below 101 also has it for 130 NT

Well, for the benefit of future searchers, we might as well keep pitching in and mentioning locations. Wellman’s always has it too, as do some local Wellcomes.

This is what we’re talkin’ 'bout, right?

(EDIT – this is the unsweetened baking stuff, but it’s very easy to make hot chocolate with it; you just follow the little recipe on the side, heating milk, sugar and a drop of vanilla in a mug in the microwave or in a saucepan, and adding the cocoa powder. If you want to just dump it in milk and go, then this is not what you want.)

Xingnong supermarkets (Taichung only I think) have it, too.

RT MART

Géant near Yongchun MRT has it, I bought some the other day to make chocolate pudding with

just be sure you buy the right kind. Don’t get the unsweetened kind used for baking…I made that mistake once before, never to be repeated. :stuck_out_tongue:

Because it is easier.
And because Hershey’s does a decent enough job keeping the garbage out of their products.
Hershey’s Chocolate Milk Mix Ingredients:
Sugar, Cocoa, less than 2% caramel color, cornstarch, and vanilla.

Not too bad. It is Hot Chocolate afterall, not really a healthfood drink to begin with

Chocolate really softens the blow of being away from my family.

Florida Bakery has the chocolate milk mix (pre-sugared), $90.
Ren Ai near Dunhua (Ren Ai Sec. 4, #26, 2702-1175).

I am used to buy those unsweeten cocoa powder (dirt cheap) from whole food in the United States. … Now, i am clueless where i can find similar stuffs for cocoa drink. … Hershy, are they very sweet? Will they work well if i use it to mk chocolate ice cream in summer?

Unsweetened cocoa powder is available from lots of supermarkets here. I think Hershey is one kind. But you’ll have to check the label of course to see whether it’s sweetened or not.

Breeze Supermarket (Fuxing N. Rd. just north of Civic Blvd., Taipei) has both kinds, presweetened with milk powder in it for making hot cocoa, and the baking cocoa, right next to each other.
i think green and blacks has the best ever hot chocolate products.
Haven’t tried them, but I imagine they’re good.

I know I said for good cocoa you need decent unsweetened cocoa powder plus decent sugar plus milk. But actually, for the best hot chocolate full stop, I think you have to start with a bar of real dark chocolate. There are various ways to transform it into a cup of hot chocolate but the basic principle is to avoid overheating it, which will make the chocolate go grainy.

And don’t forget to add a drop of real, high-quality vanilla extract.
