Hi, which companies in Taiwan handle public school teaching jobs? Are there only two available? Thanks in advance.
The two big agencies are Teach Taiwan and TFETP, both more or less run by the government. Public schools are also capable of doing their own hiring, though, especially if someone already has an ARC through marriage or some other way.
There are more than two, but only a few big ones manage most public school placements. The main recruiters are Teach Taiwan, Dewey, HESS Public School Program, and Shane English Public Schools, depending on the city and contract. Some counties also hire directly through local education bureaus without an agency. Availability changes by region and year, so checking multiple recruiters and local government postings gives you more options.
Unless something has changed, aren’t Hess and Shane buxibans only and not connected to public school placements?
