I believe there is an attachment with this, but didn’t investigate that. Please be careful. It’s obviously a fraud.

How ironic that Hinet should be named in such a phishing tactic. Anyone who receives the message should know it’s BS because Hinet has such an atrocious record for permitting spammers and would never disable anyone’s account for improper use.

The largest Internet Service Provider in Taiwan, HINET, lets its customers send all the junk email they want. These spam messages tend to be Big-5 encoded and contain attached graphics. They fill up my users’ mailboxes and make them lose the email they wanted. Since spammers are now able to use HINET with relative impunity, spammers have flocked to them. Any message from a HINET network address is likely to be spam.

As far as I can tell hinet has never taken any action against any spammer using their servers and never will. Most of the garbage you get from Taiwan is hosted by hinet.

I’ve been getting these sort of messages for the last month from many of my email provides. I believe it is some sort of virus that has mutated from earlier ones this year. Call them if you really that worried.
