heres what they say:
I hope it’s truly improving. Last 3 times I was in HK, the air was horrible.
It has been fantastic, but there has been fairly frequent breezes. Taiwan should take note of the sleazy attempt by the local “government” to claim credit as a barometer of what to expect on any foced fit return to the mainland.

The explanation I’ve heard for why it has been an exceptionally clear summer is that we’ve had an unusually long period of winds from the south. This is good for the air, but bad for the seawater at the beaches since the winds create surface currents that slow down the (solid waste laden) waters coming out of the Pearl River. Good thing for Donald Tsang that most HKers don’t go to the beach.
Someone offered me 250k HK and a flat on the Peak the other day and I turned it down on account of the pollution. Dreadful it was. I’ve decided to live in Basingstoke. Closing In-Town Check-in was the last straw anyway. Bloody Cathay Pacific.
Really? That’s it. I’m gone then.
Returned after 10 days home in Maine. Same crap air as when I left.
