They have listed on the HK exchange, but that doesn’t make this a Hong Kong manufacturer. BYD is a pure Chinese company engaged in R&D* and production in several plants in the PRC. They are currently trying to export some of those vehicles to overseas markets. BYD also have several licensing agreements with foreign car companies to produce vehicles for the Chinese market under the brands of those partners as well as under their own brand.
