Sounds like a perfect way to distract the students from learning anything also - just makes them look like they’re paying attention, but I doubt any more English is getting learned. Did you see the stats, too? Teachers with more than 4,000 students earn the top salaries. I bet you they don’t even know their names at that point.

You may think I’m joking, but sit down with the sales staff at any adult buxiban and let them tell you all about their wonderful teachers.
Stand on Nanyang, just north of the Post Office, and on the west side of the road there’s a perfect example of a school using pictures of its teachers to get the students all warm and dribbly.
