This lady is a good and common example of why people rarely want to progress our species. She didnt even do much, and likely is shattered because of it. What she did was so little as to not deserve taiwan citizenship. However she probably got so fucked she deserves something. Probably a path to citizenship and resident status seems fair.
One of those situations where foreigners in taiwan with families and decades of dedication get nothing here and something like this may get extra attention. I dont think its bad she can get refugee status here (to give ccp and hk an extra poke of face loss), but if she gets citizenship, so do thousands of us who have dedicated our lives to taiwan and want to be citizens…this is a loaded gun in my opinion, and i support her coming if she wants to.
