as a side question. do they enjoy hiking? taiwan has unbelievably beautiful wild hotsprings that are 6 stars. if one likes the outdoors, they are beyond magical! Taipei’s real charm is that is is literally surrounded by astonishing.nature and accessible by public transport usually. really a good hub for outdoors people that also like busy cities.
