How about the water reserves?

This year has seen much less rain than previous ones and I am wondering what this means for Taiwan’s water reserves. Are we likely to experience a drought soon?

I would appreciate any input.

Some stories surfaced about this issue a few weeks ago in the local media and the English papers. Indeed an issue once again. The May rains will help but we’ll likely need an early spring typhoon as well. Some first level water restrictions probably aren’t far off from being implemented.

water level is extremely low in the south. Although there is a spring drought, but authorities are saying there was more than enough rainfall left from the winter, and if properly manages we should be in such bad shape right now. Apparently there plenty of unnecessary release of water.

its a warm and dry spring for sure. i noticed the flame trees are in full bloom in Taipei but surely they’re 2 months early no?
