How about this for a prenup

FEBRUARY 17–This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there’s Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document–a “Contract of Wifely Expectations”–that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey (pictured right) offered “Good Behavior Days,” or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to “get out of doing the things” he requested daily. A copy of the proposed contract, which Frey’s wife never signed and later provided to cops, can be found below. While we normally point out the highlights of most documents, there are so many in this demented, and very graphic, contract, we really can’t do it justice. So set aside ten minutes–and prepare to be repulsed. (4 pages)

Is it unreasonable to say anyone who signed this, at best (most sympathetic to them) needs their head examined, at worst, knew exactly what they had coming to them (and by implication deserves little sympathy?).

This is two literate Americans we’re talking about, not a cross cultural thing. As if anyone could mistake him for a nice, liberal guy who wanted a relationship of mutual respect, even with cross cultural confusion!

Of course, nothing makes this nutcase’s actions moderate or reasonable, but…

Bah! I would’ve added a clause about cooking and housework. Also in the hygiene section he should have stipulated she evacuate her bowels before buggery, otherwise he’s pretty well covered all bases.

Wonder if he really wrote it or it’s just a particularly messy divorce. She claims he kidnapped her, tied her to the bed and “had sex with her”, but it isn’t called rape. Odd. It also doesn’t mentyion how he got sprung with the kiddy porn. A set up?

An especially nice touch was allowing her to wear a slightly longer dress for church. Wonder if he is much of a church man?

Can’t you just feel the love?

No reasonable person would sign this document. But what shocks me more is that this lunatic actually found someone who was willing to spend the rest of their life with him… :loco:

Wow!
the friggin detail! who thinks of this shit in that kind of detail?

shhhh listen can you hear it?

the hoofbeats of the 4 horsemen?

Hang on, she left him and claimed he kidnapped her. In any case she didn;t sign it. Their are myriad reasons for this doc, one of which could be her setting him up.

What an idiot.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDDDD!!! This is so scary…I shit you all not. I was a presbyterian summer church camp counselor with this guy 17 years ago. He was pretty weird back then. My heart is really racing!!! So glad I it didn’t accept when he asked me out!!! Turned into a real freak!! BTW he used to make bombs with this friends in his basement. Never would have expected him to turn into such a strange FREAK!!! :smiling_imp: Good thing I got out of Iowa!

It’s a bit strange that he has all of these demands for his lady’s appearance and hygene and her sex, yet he has none about the meals she may cook, or how she treats the “kids” or how she behaves in public or any of that other stuff that happens when you live with somebody, let alone MARRY them. He doesn’t even stipulate that she has to brush her teeth or bathe even once a day.

Oh, Gee, she can get a special day without these stringent rules on her birthday, maybe… And no arguing if he changes his mind.

He insists that she shaves herself from anus to navel? Every three days? but OMG! she can have a tiny little thatch! lucky lady!!!

What a lonely guy he must be…

It’s a bit weird, and a bit unbelievable…

Pre-nups are for wussies, or are they?

If I was to get a lawyer and write a prenup, it would have a lot to do with money and property, and the kid’s futures and all of that…

And I thought I was insane…

Yikes!!!

This can’t be true!

I guess the most ironic part of this is when he gets thrown into prison and some inmates make him their bitch then imposes his very own rules on himself  .
