It’s not new. I believe you are mistaken.
Well until recently I could also update other people’s topic titles old or not.
For example I believe I’m the one that updated the ICRT 2018 thread title to add “/2019”.
Look at the posts above–you must have had Regular status at that point.

I just noticed a spelling error in one of my posts, and went to edit it and there’s no Edit available.
