I am an Australian TESOL lecturer in a college here in Aust. I am looking to move to Kaohsiung in March 2017. But I cannot find any websites which have job listings for ESL jobs in Kaohsiung, I found tons in Taipei, but nothing in Kaohsiung. I tried just looking up individual buxi bans and schools but most of their websites are designed for students and there is no real way I can apply for jobs through their websites. Does anyone have any idea how I can find a teaching job in the afternoons in Kaohsiung? Preferably teaching adults.
If you have the equivalent of an MA your best bet is to just come here and pick up classes at a college or university. All colleges and universities hire part time English teachers. You will not be able to line up these jobs from overseas. Put together a list of all the universities in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Fenghsan, etc., then come and knock on doors. It won’t hurt to send Email in advance while you’re still in Australia, but it may not help much either.
