How do you say dumplings with soup in chinese

today for lunch i want to try something new. does anyone know how to say dumplings in soup in chinese, i head it called something like hong blah blah blah.

i don’t think they have that, it is a veggie place, heehe. there are no noodles, i saw someone order it once, it was just some dumplings with soup. thanks though maybe i can mime it. mimes are scary.

How about 湯餃 (tang1 jiao3)? Not sure what name the vegie variety would be given, but the most common carnivorous variety is called 牛肉湯較, which is a beef soup with dumplings in it. Without seeing the specific item on the menu, perhaps 素食湯餃 (su4 shi2 tang1 jiao3) would get close enough to what you want to clue in the laoban.
