How many hours are needed to get health insurance coverage by school?

Hi all,
I’m considering a teaching job that is offering 12 hours/week.
Is that enough for the school to help sponsor my health insurance?
Is there a minimum amount of hours required for that to happen?

Thank you in advance.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare Interpretation of the Letter of Health Insurance No. 84031133 dated July 4, 1984,

  1. For those who do not arrive every working day, their monthly working hours are more than 12 hours a week (including 12 hours), which is regarded as a full-time employee and should be insured by the work-study institution.
  2. For employees who work in more than two units at the same time, if they meet the first two requirements, they can choose an insured unit with longer working hours, higher income from work, or higher risk.

Thank you for the info. I see this is from 1984. I wonder if it has been updated?

That notice has not been updated, iiuc.

Got it. Thx

well, I just did the obvious thing and called NHI offices.
They confirm the 12 hr/week minimum.

Is that 12 hours/week at one school, or can that total be spread out over multiple schools?

my understanding was pertaining to one school.

It might not be from 1984, it probably is from 1995
