How much electricity do you use per month or per 2 month? From Higher summer electricity rates to kick in June 1 - Focus Taiwan, they say average usage is around 300-400kw. I find that extremely low. Wondering if that is normal for everyone else here.

I think there are quite a few apartments in Taiwan which sit empty most time of the year as they’re only held for investment purposes. They probably drag down the average usage.
We usually use between 1500-1800kwh per two months.
I used over 1200 last month. Guess I am on the high end.
Summer 500-600, winter 300-400.
We only use AC when we sleep, dehumidifiers 24/7. A few PCs 24/7. Gas for cooking. 6 family members on this apartment’s bill. The other 4 family members live next door and sometimes use more power, but they use the AC more and have electric cookers. 1200kwh/mo does seem high and will definitely push you to into the higher pay bracket. Even if you just use a bit more power, you’ll pay 50% more if you reach that bracket. It’s not very linear unfortunately. How many people in your household?

These could be done for 90% less power on a NAS.
I have a NAS, but it’s older and can’t handle HDR to SDR tone mapping so my PCs need to be on anyways. I also don’t like to put that much random I/O on my NAS drives. The way I have it set up now everything gets read or written sequentially. I’m planning to get a Mac Mini when the M2 version comes out. I’ve seen people with the M1 only using about 8W doing background tasks and 24W when transcoding and multitasking. That’s darn impressive and M2 is 25% more efficient. I don’t plan to upgrade my NAS until a 4 to 8 x 4TB SSD based one is affordable and reliable. That’s at least 150,000nt now and I’m hearing horror stories of high heat and dying drives still. That figure is probably too low because I’d go with MLC SSDs.
I use 300 kwh per month in the winter when the AC doesn’t need to be used, otherwise it’s 700 or so.
