I started buying this new English paper, the Taipei Times, every day right after 9-21. Every day they had a listing of the major aftershocks across the island in graphic format, and for some reason I found that comforting.
It’s pretty hard to find English language newspapers in my neighborhood and I can’t imagine making any effort to look for what is published here. I get all the news I need via feeds and a few online news sites. I don’t really find the experience of reading a newspaper all that great.
Sometimes I don’t have time on the weekends to read all the papers, so I save them and read them on the commute on Monday. I probably look like one of those psycho homeless guys, collecting all the newspapers.
