A girl in Hsinchu saw many puppies being dumped by the side of the road…one died right there, one got adopted, but now a shelter in Canada is willing to take all 7 that are left!
Does anyone know how old they need to be? They are really young now (1 month)…

Usually they are adopted after having been weaned from the mother, or in this case, after the animal welfare organisation has weaned them. Poor little things!

It also lists all the airlines that ship pets. It’s worth noting that Air Canada no longer will allow animals to be checked with luggage. They have to be shipped on Air Canada Cargo. Also worth noting: The 2 major DOMESTIC carriers that fly within Canada and to the US, WestJet and Air Canada, have a blackout period for animals due to extreme weather.

Holiday embargos Not applicable to cabin travel From December 11 to December 14 and January 7 to January 10, a maximum 2 animals will be accepted in checked baggage. No animals will be accepted in checked baggage from December 15 to January 6, inclusive.
Embargos related to extreme heat Not applicable to cabin travel From April 1 to October 31 of each year, animals are not accepted in checked baggage on any flight to or from Las Vegas, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Los Cabos, Mazatlan, Puerto Plata and Punta Cana due to possibilities of extreme temperatures.

Speaking of cabin-pet-rides… anyone have experience doing this? I’d like feedback on people who have taken his/her pet onboard an aircraft under the seat. Wouldn’t the animal be howling for 2-5hrs (depending on the duration of the flight) as airlines don’t allow you to take the animal out? How did you deal with potty incidents??
