According to the leading teacher’s copyright experts, I’m allowed to post short video or audio segments as long as its used as part of my teaching and presented to a closed group.
What is the best way to create this password protected area?
And while I have your attention, which format would you use?
My content will consist of a short two to three minute video segment from various educational TV shows. It doesn’t have to be very big as it is just going to be used to jog their memories. (What ever the smallest enjoyable size would be?)
doesn’t .htaccess work? Try that.
I would suggest keeping them small size! 2" by 2" but with good sound! The files will be still quite big! Make sure you don’t trip the transfer limits on your account!
3mins might be 1-2Mb * how ever many students you have * the number of clips you have!
say 2mb * 10 clips * 25 students = 1/2 GB just there.

I’m afraid that I don’t have much experience creating web pages. Please tell me what .htaccess is and how I can use it on my free area of Hinet.
(I can’t read Chinese). I assume this function will let me create specail passwords for my students and not force me to use my sign on password.
