I’m having a problem with the audio and video on some downloaded t.v shows not matching up. the audio will be about 5 seconds ahead of the video. Is that a codex problem or could the file have been corrupted during a data transfer. I’ve been moving lots of data from differnte external hard drives and I havent noticed the problem until then.
Does anyone know a good program to fix it ? I’ve been saving these shows for years and am just starting to watch them. I’d hate to think I have been wasting my time.
Thanks

You could try a program called “AC3Filter”, it’s freeware that has a delay option (beside being able to decode DD5.1 tracks).
Just google the term above and the first hits should be taking you right to the download page.
I doubt that the problem was/is caused by moving the files, if they were corrupted it would more likely cause interrupts or distortion during playback.
My poor 5 year old computer has finally pooped out. I’m leaving soon so I’m not too concerned but I have many files I want to transfer over to my new computer or external hard drive. None of my usb ports work except for the mouse and key board.
I can’t transfer data and my burner is external and also needs a functioning usb port to work.
I’m just going to wait until it fills up and take out the hard drive and hook it up to an external case.
The question is,
If I set the jump to slave will I lose and files or my windows program. I don’t believe I can operate windows on an external hard drive. Can I?
I’ve got too many important files on it to experiment…
Should I just wait until it’s full and pull the hard drive or get it fixed.
Thanks
