Nail polish remover!
Rub the face of a small child back and forth over the affected area. This might not remove all of the mess, but should ensure that it doesn’t happen again.

That’s an easy one!
Go to your closest computer store. Stand infront of one of the printers for sale. Show them the international gesture for cleaning a dirty printer! This is how I get EVERYTHING done Taiwan.
Don’t ask me how to find vasoline though.
