Look at the temporary state licensing. Just search the FET English teaching FB groups covered in this forum already helps to use the search function
If you apply without a government-issued teaching license, you must have taught English at accredited schools overseas or taught as a Foreign English Teaching Assistant at Public/accredited private schools in Taiwan for more than one year
Yep but be careful with that. - Many schools when hiring an American now ask if the new teacher has the temporary or full license now. (Many of the sub teachers have already built up such a bad reputation among many schools)
This is because many will join with that state license and not realise what is expected of them. They will often leave within 6 months of joining on their own accord… or fired/not renewed after the 6 or 12 month contract is up.
However, it is one of the better gigs in Taiwan you can get if you play your cards right.
