How to Use the Ladies' (?) Room in Taiwan

oops, imanou! i read too fast! i read:

“plus the cool feeling as the wind, should it be blowing, hits your freshly wet skin” as “plus the cooling feeling as the wind, should it be blowing your tits’ freshly wet skin”!! oh me so freudian!

sorry. i’m still in the ladies’ room. i’ll leave now.

Something like this may be handy…especially on trains. Looks like it is easily portable; keep one handy!

Uh… yeah, but imagine the SPLASH! :noway:

God I can’t believe this conversation is still going on - yes toilets are smelly places. Go figure.

As for paper down there, if you’ve never had to unblock a taiwanese toilet, you’re lucky. My guess is that it’s the western habit of using toilet paper that has infiltrated taiwan, for the worse, whereas the older method of just using water ala thailand is more environmentally friendly, cleaner and simpler.

what a bunch of whiners. BTW the wipes that you buy are not supposed to be flushed - they’re not really all that biodegradable, a little like diapers and pads.

:bravo:
Thank for providing this thread with the “No Shit, Sherlock!” Moment of the Day, greeneyedgrrl.
:unamused:

No pun intended.

No worries! If no one is flushing them, then great. Just judging from people’s preference to flush everything, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got washed down as well.
