Hows the living in Taichung compared to Taipei?

The fall was one of the longest periods of continuous rainy days on record. It rained almost every day of September and October. There was a brief respite in November and continued rain until almost the end of December. January wasn’t too bad it had about 50% rainy days. Taipei has about 180 rainy days a year i.e., every second day.

In Taipei it rains in summer and in winter. Taichung get’s its share of rain in late spring, but the rest of the year is comparably dry. Wonderful.

Taipei certainly offers a lot more choice and diversity when it comes to nightlife, culture, etc. Taichung is nowhere near as metropolitan as Taipei, public transport is virtually non-existing.
