HP Screwed Up My Computer

I am hoping that someome can answer this question.

Each time i boot my PC, then after loading Windows etc, the PC appears to be hanging. On closer inspection i have narrowed it down to one program being run that is utilising 99% of processor ability for about 2 to 3 minutes.

This program name is “hpodev07.exe”

Has anyone got any idea what this is for, can i just remove or what. The only thing i can think that it relates to is the HP PSC 750 printer that i added not long ago, but why would a printer require this type of program.

Help if you can !!

This is a known problem. Check this document from HP:

Also, you didn’t say which flavor of Winblowz you’re running…have you downloaded the latest fixpacks?

Hi Traveller,

Whenever you face a problem like this, simply type the offending file/program name into Google or any other search engine and you’ll more than likely get a wealth of resources. In your case, I did this. I suggest you do, since I don’t know which article to suggest. There is a lot of information to choose from.

Cheers,

Jeremy

De-Install Windows, install Linux. Will solve all problems.

For once (it makes a change) it was not a windows problem but the driver from HP.
