I have a friend who coming to Taiwan and he would like to find employment in the Hsinchu Science Park. Does anyone know of websites that offer employment??
( He has his Computer Science Degree. ) Any advice or suggestion is appreciated…

Make sure he brings proof of 2 years full-time experience. Otherwise he’ll face major headaches like many of us.
And he needs to have this proof along with his other credentials authenticated at TECO office in his home country.

Correct, he will have to get some help with translation to have a decent chance of finding a job in the science park. If he doesn’t speak Mandarin, he will be disqualified for many. Another option is to find foreign companies that have a presence in science park and try to get hired by them outside of Taiwan and then transfer in. But most of those are service related job staffed by ME and EE people, writing code for those companies typically takes place outside of the science park, and typically outside of Taiwan.
I don’t think there are any foreign companies in the science park. Foreign companies don’t require a science park infrastructure since their R&D is usually overseas. Hukou and Zhubei are more likely locations i.e. Philips has a large manufacturing facility in Hukou. Note you don’t need Chinese skills necessarily; but as an engineer you need a very unique skill set to get hired i.e. you have to be bringing some technology on-board that is not being offered by engineers graduating from the local universities. As usual it is as a tech.writer/editor that opportunities exist. But to be honest there aren’t a great many jobs here and a lot of them are passed round by word of mouth.
I work for a foreign company “in the science park”. We lease some seating in the science park inside our customer facilities and we have a local office about 500 meters from one of the entrances. Most of the foreign companies have an arrangement like this and most of the actual work takes place within the walls of the science park. For most of our employees, they get a paycheck from us but functionally work in the science park within the infrastructure of a local manufacturer.
