I’ve heard about a possible train (monorail or the like) connecting the TRA in Hsinchu to the HSR just north in Jhubei. I was wondering if anybody knows anything about this or a possible completion date. I looked on the THSR website with no luck but reading Mandarin is not my forte.
The systems looks to be about complete and resembles the monorail looking thing connecting the Taoyuan TRA – HSR – Airport.
Thanks!

That baby kicked off today. Free trial for 15 days. :discodance:
Also connects HSR with Neiwan line, correct? Makes for great possible day bike trips from Taipei and other areas.
Yes, the old Neiwan line is back in business. AFAIK it’s actually 2 lines, one splitting off to Liujia (HSR) and one carrying on to Neiwan.
FINALLY! At least 3 years in the making. Time to go teach at NCTU again.
Awesome! Free trial for 15 days? How much will it cost on the 16th day?
Will be making a trip back in the next few months. This is interesting? More details please? I can get from Taoyuan airport to the HSR on this thing?
Don’t be silly Tommy…we’re talking Hsinchu here. You can get from Taoyuan airport to Taoyuan HRS station on a shuttle bus. THAT connecting line will be ready sometime in 2093. From Hsinchu HSR you can now get to Neiwan if you so desire.
