For some reason, lately, when I am previewing a post that I am typing, the preview text does not display correctly. None of the HTML codes seem to work. For example, the quoted text is not properly boxed, bold doesn’t work, etc. However, as soon as I click “submit”, all is fine in the final message.
Unfortunately (for you as the tech), yes. Just this morning, during ‘preview’, I saw tags and text vs. properly displayed HTML quotes (text in the box). Upon posting, it displayed properly. Same as before.
I’m sorry, this is probably in a FAQ: Why do the times of posts show up 13 hours behind? Is that because the server is in the U.S., Eastern time? I happened to notice this again when I was writing my reply and said “this morning” and looked at the time on my post and saw “last night”.
Although the Reply form indicates that “HTML is ON” – this only means that a few HTML tags are allowed. This is for security – malicious javascript can be inserted into HTML tags
Re: Time settings
Check your time setting in your profile. Time stamps are fine for me – I’m in Taipei right now and times are GMT + 8
I just did a post in the Learning Chinese forum. Two quotes in a row. The first one (created by clicking on the “quote” icon) didn’t display correctly in preview. The second one that I typed in manually did display correctly in preview. Both were fine in the final post.
