Hysterectomy?

I’m a 24 year old foreigner looking to get a hysterectomy. I know NHI won’t cover it but they’re fine. I just need to see what my chances are of forming a doctor to do this.

Have you gone to the hospital or specialist and asked for their opinion?

NHI may covers the basic part of operation.
I advise you to see a top doctor in a top hospital for this case. The earlier the better.
They usually give a a few options. The basic one is covered.

A family member had a hysterectomy done at Mackay Hospital in Taitung. The staff were very professional and the whole thing went by without incident.

You are on the young side, so be prepared to have doctors decline performing the procedure because of your age. Unless you have a medical condition, it’s not that easy to have this done here, is my understanding. I would like to have a hysterectomy myself and recently spoke to a doctor at Adventist. I was advised against it and the doctor suggested I use birth control to control my periods because a hysterectomy is considered a “non-essential” surgery…

You don’t say where you are based, but a friend had a hysterectomy at Veteran’s Hospital in Tienmu. She did have a medical condition though. You could start by going to their obgyn. department? These days the ovaries are left in and the uterus can be removed vaginally which means no cutting through the belly. Good luck.
I’d be interested to know what more you learn about this procedure here.

I don’t know your motivation, but I had an endometrial ablation at 23 and it was the best decision of my life. Cheap, easy, non-hormonal, and no recovery time. The only reason I knew I still had cycles was because once a month my back would hurt.
