I-68 American Diner Texan and Mexican Cafe (Xindian)

Location: Minchuan Road, Lane 42, alley 6, Number 2

Meaning from exit 3, Tapinglin Station, turn right, keep going on the right side, you will see the sign -second entrance to the right, just past the chotofu stand, and the new very expensive restaurant.*

Tel: 8911-6086

Menu highlights:

Lousiana Style fried rice - 180

Texas Beef burger - 190

Beef fajita Tower - 260

Roasted chicken and gravy sauce - 320

Plus the works: fried onion rings, beef quesadillas, root beer and pie a la mode.

Clean place, reasonable prices, portion size decent without exaggerating. Still working some bumps with the service -young, green elements- but very helpful and attentive.

This means you go by the side of the minced meat and rice stand, the small huoguo, the drinks stand, the pinglan xiaojie, the fried chicken, the expensive restaurants, and that’s the second entrance.

Chicken fried steak?

Sounds pretty damn good to me. What have you had there Icon? What’s the Louisiana rice like? And did you notice any veggie options?

Veggie options?

Ya mean something like fried okra?..Now you’re talkin’!

I founds some pics of some of their food/place.

It looks delicious, but the portion sizes a bit smallish.

Definitely looks worth a try. Those ribs look good and the fajitas look very tasty indeed.

So I went there this afternoon (4:00) to see if it was any good.
It was closed.
The nice man inside informed us that they close after lunch, and open up again at 5:30.
He spoke English well and seemed nice.
He also gave me a little portable menu.
I’ll have to go back another time.

Does the menu say what time they close in the evening?

It doesn’t, but I guess you could call them.
