I am moving to Taiwan in September. advice is appreciated

Interview? What’s that all about? I just went in, filled out the necessary form, handed it to her with my passport, the $100 check, 2 passport photos, my itinerary, and went back the next day to retrieve my visa. There was no interview, no interrogation, nothing at all like that. If all your paperwork is in order, they’ll take it from you, tell you when to come back, and it’s all done. And I’ve done this three times now, each time the same thing.

We went through it Boston and I’ve talked to folks who got a mild ‘third degree’ in Houston. I understand it’s part of the effort to reduce the number of ME visas and in part to restrict/reduce the freedom of folks to ‘shop around’ Taiwan for a reason to stay.

OOC

Thanks, I think I do have some C-Tec back home in storage, and perhaps even Recoil (sounds famliar). I am preparing to head out of this place soon, so incoming materials will only add to the shipment I will soon be sending away as outgoing. I could always download some trax instead. Perhaps if you’re here in September, I should still be here, we may meet up for a grooving session! I get the feeling you might be craving for some famliar kind of company you might find lacking here. Cheers!

Jason,

Do you smoke? If so, switch to Long Life.

Do you drink (if you don’t, Taibodia will drive you to do so)? Find out about Kinmen Kaoliang and adjust to Taibodia Beer.

Like driving cars? Get ready for a scooter.

Accustomed to wearing shoes? Pick up a pair of flip-flops.

Not used to spitting or blasting snot out your nose?: do whatever you please

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: don’t get attached to the first honey you meet. Play the field awhile. The women here are the most sizzling the whole world over. For real. Taiwanese women are GORGEOUS. Calm yourself down, take some viagara if necessary, have fun.

And remember the women here are 98% water. Keelung River water.

ha! Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Actually, never thought of that. Totally true. Take note of it.

It’s the second time I’ve posted it for you. Glad you got it this time.
