I can't WCIF about foodstuffs in the WCIF Forum?

Now I may be tripping today and I honestly don’t recall 100%, but I thought I posted a WCIF for some ingredients for lasagna, three of them, Italian sausage, ground beef and ricotta cheese. I hoped someone knew of a single place where I could get them. Now, my thread is in F&D and even though I’ve altered the title to read

WCIF: Ingredients for lasagna, all in one place hopefully, I wonder why it was moved?

You’re telling me that WCIF for Food and Drinks items should be posted in the F&D forum and not in the WCIF Forum? :ohreally:

I thought that kind of odd, but

Noop, there’s a WCIF thread about cheese flavored almonds, like there even IS such a thing… :laughing:

and 914 asked aboot mac and cheese… :thumbsup:

and egg roll and wanton wrappers… :thumbsup:

and that’s the first page.

So, what gives?

And if I really didn’t post in WCIF, my apologies. I was working on my 50,000 words and may have posted in the wrong forum, but my PM from TG left me wanting. :neutral:

And now my PM from DB says yes, food searches belong in F&D, but that doesn’t explain the examples above. :idunno: :saywhat:

Hi JD, that’s a very good question. Rule #1 at the top of the WCIF forum asks people to search for and post about items in their content-relevant forums, if one exists, rather than in WCIF. For example, searches for champagne, yogurt, cheese etc. and posts about them go in the Food area, searches for pediatricians go in Health, those for iPods go in Tech, those for Mazda dealers go in Cars, etc. Such posts get moved routinely. Topics that don’t have a topically relevant forum are then covered by WCIF.

The reasoning is that it doesn’t make much sense to have some people start threads in WCIF asking about bakeries, and others posting the same topic in Food. People then have to search both forums and open both threads when looking for the info they want.

Sometimes when moving threads I leave a ‘ghost’ topic, so what you may be seeing in WCIF is the ghost link. Or it may simply be a thread that got posted while I was busy or on vacation, in which case, thank you for reminding me to do some cleanup. :slight_smile:
