I don't get it

Why would you folks ban someone for suggesting a romantic liason between others?

Keeee-ryst, are you people overly sensitive or what.

Uhm what are you talking about?

linkage! We need linkage!

Hi mapo, returned to the ‘living’ … well, some mods probably think they are god …
Some are just rambling about without knowing what they are talking about
Some just belong to a superior race …

You forgot to mention the ones who do an excellent job with no thanks whatsoever.

Fact check: moderators do not / cannot ban people.

Welcome back Squidly -
Looks like the start of another great thread!

When people get banned, the reason is usually for posting something so objectionable that the material can’t remain on the boards, whether it’s outing people with personal info, repeated OTT obscenity and insults, credible threats of violence against IRL people (especially 'mosans), or something pornographic. There are enough mods on board that such material tends to vanish pretty quickly (i.e., go to the Flame Forum or elsewhere behind the green curtain, where only mods and admins can see, discuss and act on it) – probably before you’ll see it. So all you end up seeing is the Suspended or Banned label under a user name. It’s quite understandable, then, that you’d be confused as to the reason for such sanctions. But please rest assured, they’re not imposed lightly.

I don’t get it.

Why would folks start a thread without letting us know what they are talking about, and without suggesting a romantic liason between others?

There seems to be a bit of personal leeway displayed on this one…

But the stated reasons are pretty good ones.

I’m sure mods and admins want to be fair, so if you feel something has been overlooked or dealt with unfairly, please be sure to let us know the details, either here in the Feedback Forum, or by PM to us. You can always PM Maoman, too, if you are unhappy with any action by mods.
