Can adults be adopted in Taiwan? - Legal / General Legal Matters - Forumosa
I’d probably just leave it there. There might be the chance that there is a fishing line attached or something else fishy going on. Probably not likely in Taiwan, though. A wallet I would bring to a police station for sure, someone paid that forward to me once.
A fishing line attached to it would be fraud.
And they can’t prove intent to steal.
I make my body language clear to the police camera.

I was more thinking of prank. ![]()
Ohhhhhhhh
Well. I guess I am on Just for Laughs Taiwan
Found $1000. Filed a report
Would you look at that tarmac job though? Fucking mint, smoother than my jazzy soul

That’s how you can tell they’ll be ripping it up for a manhole cover or whatever tomorrow.
Today I finally have something very good I want to share about Taiwan.
Several hours ago I dropped my wallet and before I even realized it, two good men who work where I dropped it found it and used a loudspeaker to announce it.
Not only that I got my wallet back, but the fact they acted swiftly made me very happy about it and restored my faith in humanity at least a little bit.

Update. Was given a notice to appear at the police station.
To claim the $1000.
Wow! It took them 8 mths to investigate
Good for you though ![]()
I think part of it is also waiting for anyone to call and see if they lost money. Even though it is really tough to find the owner. I think if the owner had realised, the police camera that was close by and within direct sight of the lost money would have been relatively easy to verify.
But the nature of cash makes it difficult to verify.
Wait, I think that’s my banknote!
Wait…people still use wallets?

Yea. We skin cows to make them.
Figured yours would be goatskin. ![]()
No bang for buck in goats. That’s why we’re goated.
Whenever I see that topic title, I think of “I dropped my pants” or “I dropped my soap”… What is wrong with me, help! ![]()
