I found a birdie

…lying on the floor, right on the sidewalk. Almost got run over by a coworker. His nest was nowhere in sight, so now he’s sitting not so pretty -he’s furious- in a paper bag on my desk.

Prrr…prrr… PRRRRR!!! Lemme Out! Lemme OUT!!!

One more for the rescue collection.

They’re currently caring for two owl chicks a friend found, and have taken all manner of other birds from me to care for before releasing back where they were found.

Thank you for the address, SD. My collegue who’s interested in taxidermy was eying the birdie quite suspiciously…

This one -according to my field guide on top of my desk- is either a Japanese White-eye or a Eastern Crowned Warbler.

*in the meantime, he’s making quite a ruckus here in the office. :astonished:

Those guys are GOOD! I took them a five-colour bird that had escaped from a cage and was tame, and they made it wild again. Also a serpent eagle chick I found that they raised up to adulthood and released back into the wild near where I live. I wanted to keep that one and they were very nice in persuading me not to.
