I have my APRC THANKS!

:notworthy: Thanks everyone so much for the help. :notworthy: NorthCoastSurfer, icon, and motorcyclerider come to mind but thanks all!!!

I’m free!!! I’m free!!! I’m free!!! Now to get back to my buxiban… hahaha

Anyway I’m not sure if this is really new news but I never heard anything about it on any of the threads I was involved in but there are exceptions to the 183 day rule (ie you need to be in the country at least 183 days per calendar year to keep your APRC). It is possible to apply for up to two years out of the country at a time. You need to provide documentation to prove what you’ll be up to, etc but it is possible. The immigration agent also said if you need to extend beyond two years you just need to come back to Taiwan and apply for more time out (up to 2 years).

Congratulations!

Another member of The Club! :bravo:

Glad to hear the good news! Congratulations! :bravo:

Good news! Now you can give up teaching buxiban and sell chicken-bums-on-a-stick at a nightmarket! Don’t even THINK about moving in on my curried-fish-eyes-on-a-stick business, though. :bluemad:

Ah. The sweet smell of freedom!

Actually my husband is proposing we bring the dancing BBQ business to Taiwan that is so popular in China:

Congratulations! And yes, now you can do anything you want!

Well, not quite: smoking weed naked on the corner of Zhongxiao/Fuxing probably isn’t a good idea… (though if I were king of the world, that would be legal!)

I think a dancing waiguoren next door would put these guys out of business.

Ehem, anything she wants for a living… wait, come to think of it, your idea has potential… yeah, naked dancing waiguoren… :ponder:

Congratulations shini. I know it’s a good feeling.

Good luck with whichever of the previously-mentioned career options you choose to follow.
