I want to spend a day in Hsinchu...what to do?

I want to do something fun in Hsinchu with a date…see some sights, activities etc I’ll be relying on public transport. Is there a nice swimming pool there? Is there a tourist information at the train station like there is at Taichung station?

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

My GF lives there…ill ask her for some tips for ya…she has been trying to drag me there, but havent had a chance hah.
