There seems to be a trend nowadays of being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian. To be fair, many Americans here believe their views to be moderate when they are extreme to people from other countries. For example, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden are Democrats in the US but align very closely with the Conservative Party Of Canada. They are moderate to right leaning. someone like Ted Cruz is unthinkable in Canadian politics, even though he’s Canadian, as his politics are so extreme. it’s not that we’re insulating ourselves, rather I think Americans that post here need to open up and consider how their views compare with those living in other countries ---
