I have seen some ICLP posts, I will be starting there this september at about the low intermediate level. Can anyone tell me what the workload is like? I hear rummors of up to 100 characters or words a day, is this even possible to absorb? Is the ICLP worth it, with regards to its steep price? Id like to hear from some current or former students thanks.
I’ve been a student at ICLP twice, both this summer and last, and it is absolutely worth it. All of my classes started at advance, so 100 vocab words per night would actually be considered light for me. I can’t speak specifically to low/intermediate, but you’ll definitely have your hands full.
Honestly though, it’s all about how much effort you want to put in. If you want, you can be doing homework for upwards of 3 or 4 hours a night, or get away with just an hour. Definitely a great program, the teachers and your classmates make the experience, just try not to go crazy from all of the work!
