Ideas to make small kitchen workable

I am trying to “create” more space in our otherwise small kitchen area. Space mainly needed for storing utensils.

I found this rack but see question below

Is it hygienic to put utensils under the sink?

Any other ideas are welcome. We live in rented house so not sure if owner will allow drilling in wall to fix some rack on wall.

This looks like another cool item to have. But it’s more expensive that it should be (imo). Maybe I can think of some DIY way to make it on my own to wash vegetables.
