If not paying alimony

what do I risk legally speaking in tw land? We are still married on papers (i think) and I’m coming back to tw after a period abroad

Which court ordered the alimony, Taiwan or US?

Where does your ex live, Taiwan or the US?

Which country are you a citizen of?

Still married, wife and kids in tw, me abroad. Probably there is no court order yet.
Eventually tw courts will reach my country’s courts. Malta.
At the moment I wish to know what I risk coming back to tw, like being detained for not paying.

Appreciate, thanks Dawud

Not paying what? If you’re still married, how can there be any alimony?
Are you talking about a past court decision, or a possible future court decision?
And why would someone from Malta call himself “merica1”?

That is my nickname back home since a side of the family is from US,
if i’m still married there can t be alimony nor any complications. what i wanted to know

Okay, it sounds like you got divorced in Malta, and the court ordered you to pay alimony. Is that right? And now you want to know if a Taiwan court will enforce the Maltese court’s judgment. Here, read this:

It seems that it will in principle, but the legal process is long and complicated.
