She does indeed have butter cups… cups made out of butter. Not very practical for hot drinks, but don’t tell her that… she’s a sensitive soul.

Stop lying guys. You’s all know that Ran would be locked into a bathroom stall with BroonAle until they both kiss and make up.

I’m sorry, but someone had to say it like it is.
Honestly, I’d stay clear of BroonAle if I were you. No not you bob, the poster. Just a friendly suggestion.
Nothing to worry about. BroonAle is just an “online persona” to use his own words.

The poster, I doubt Buttercup will aprreciate that you are anxious to meet her based on your suspicion that she has nice boobs. I don’t know… Just a wild guess. :unamused:

I know quite a few people whose online personas I cannot stand. And then in real life they don’t suck all that badly.
If I ran into you and you were a decent guy and then you told me you were Ran the Man, I would just say “Wow, really?” and go on with you just like we had been before.

(I just realized that most people won’t get that this is a joke…)

Rantheman will be the one wearing the weirdigan.

Happy Hours don’t usually devolve into jamfests. But there is usually a smoking circle outside.

rantheman will be the one talking in lower case only.

I miss his rans … erm rants … well… erm … some of them anyway.

If rantheman goes to a happy hour, everybody else should make a point of staring at him and refusing to nod back at him, just so he feels at ease and welcome.

I enjoyed meeting him, and look forward to hearing him perform.

I enjoyed meeting ran.

I ended up talking to him almost all night.
Life is weird sometimes.

So is my theory about him being completely nice and not like rant-he-man at all true?

Yep. Pretty much.

Nice to talk to you oh so briefly, theposter.

Yep. Pretty much.
I knew it. Usually the nice people are the ones that are easily gotten to.

I had a nice brief conversation with him and so did my wife … but, I’m afraid I scared him somehow when I started talking about future earthquakes in Taiwan and 101 falling over …

He’d get harassed by namahottie…

I am not such an expert on the dynamics of Forumosans’ inter-personal relationships “IRL”, having attended far fewer “HH’s” than most. However, I did witness BroonAle and Rantheman chatting quite amiably. Obviously, I had to keep an eye on this as there had been hints from some that any such face to face meeting might result in a rather un-Forumosan bloodbath. I am happy to say that all I saw was an exchange of civil pleasantries, a handshake and a glass of Coke. As I was close to the bar and the much maligned Fred Smith, I can say with a great deal of certainty that BroonAle was more concerned with remonstrating with Fred Smith for essentially being…and I am only repeating what I overheard…“a stupid, retarded, fascist neo-con c**t, lamely defending the last remnants of a once great country currently governed by a semi-literate moron”.

IMHO, both Rantheman and BroonAle behaved impeccably towards each other and this added to the enjoyment of the evening as a whole. Even Fred Smith, despite being a misguided Republican muppet and arch-nemesis of BroonAle felt that it was time for BroonAle to be rehabilitated online especially in light of the great deal of civility displayed by him and Rantheman at what I can only surmise to be their first IRL encounter.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who attended, except Fred Smith of course who continues to be one of my worst customers. Ever.

Cheers,

Bob

I am glad, but not surprised, to hear that so many of you found RTM’s company to be pleasant.:)

FredSmith was there? And we didn’t get to meet him? :frowning:
