My husband and I are traveling to Taipei with our 2 year old daughter and wanted to find a hotel that had kitchens or kitchenettes in the rooms. Does anyone know which hotels offer that? Renting an apartment is an option but may be hard since some people prefer not to rent to people with children.
More info: We’d like to be in the city – we have good friends who live in Taipei (an American & Taiwanese couple) so we will have them as tour guides hopefully. We don’t speak the language and probably won’t master it in the next few weeks. We would be going in mid-February. We are not on a precise budget, but this is a leisure travel for us so we are paying ourselves. I tend to be particular about where I stay – I like clean and generally well rated “touristy” hotels & accomodations.
Hmm ok – well we were looking on Craigslist and found one but then she said everything in her apartment is fragile so not good for children (wasn’t really discrimination just not a good fit). Where would one find an apartment rental? Thanks so much for the fast response!!

Maoman’s away having fun in the sun. As for me, I don’t know much about short-term apartment rentals (presumably that’s what the OP’s after). Also, I’ve no idea what the OP’s budget is. If it stretches to 30,000 NT/month for what seems to be a reasonable serviced apartment, this might be of interest. Hi Michele, I recently had a client from DHL with 3 children under 5 stay in one in downtown Taipei. I can’t remember the name but I do know where it is and it’s not far from my office.
Never had an issue here with finding apartments that rent to those with children.
Just drop me an email to remind me to go check out the place and get your the contact details I have no idea of the price.
We are also looking for a place to rent for a month mid May to mid June. 2 adults 2 children 6&8 yrs old. Doesn’t need to be big as long as it has 2 bedrooms. PM me if you know of any good places in Taipei.
